Cranky Bright

I was given a $2 'Hand Crank LED Light' from the Japanese store Daiso. With a mission to improve the overall ergonomics of the product and aesthetic appearance, I re-designed the casing for the product - while keeping all internal components the same.

3D printing methods were used to create a prototype in order to test functionality, however, the CAD model fits all injection moulding requirements (draft angle analysis). Orthographic projections, exploded views and a bill of materials (BOM) were also created by myself, that can be adequately read and interpreted by a manufacturer.

Kindly watch with sound for full dramatic effect.
